Last week I had a very unusual request, in fact I've never come across anything quite like it. My curtains had been eaten! Yes, you read that right.....my curtains had been devoured by an over enthusiastic doggy!! It certainly gave a new meaning to the phrase "Dog Eared!" They were the first 'Wave' curtains that I'd ever made for kitchen bi-fold doors, so they weren't small.
My poor customer was beside herself. "Is there anything you can do Sarah?" she sobbed. "Of course there is!" I replied, "I can't get hold of that fabric anymore but leave it with me and I'll sort something out for you"

But what was I going to do? After wracking my brains I decided there was only one option. Find a similar colour and add a panel to the bottom of the curtain.
My trusty assistant, Linda, cut away all the chewed and mangled parts of the curtain until we could see exactly how much we needed to add. It worked out to be 40cm, so not a small repair by any means! I then set about sewing the panel across the bottom, repairing and adding new lining at the same time.
We were pretty pleased with the result and my customer couldn't have been happier.
